Thirty-three-year-old
Grown-up in a fallen world
On a cross He hung
Every one of us
Children in a childish world
For our sins He died
Third day from His death
Jesus Christ by loving might
Rose to death's demise

Racing to the FINISH
Of a race he never entered,
The naked fool runs naked down the track.
Dashing toward the end
Of an all-important race,
The naked athletes run clothed in flesh and bone.
The race is over.
An athlete won.
A naked fool runs naked into the rest of his naked life.

One who sacrificed His life
For His enemy?
You can know Him now.
Though you know Him not at all,
He knows you full well.
If you turn away,
You will give away your heart
To the fire of Hell.
But Christ has the keys
To make friends of enemies
And to bring you Home.
